The flamed sycamore top is truly stunning. There's some pretty significant discolouration on the chrome and plastics, but everything is working fine.
There's some buckle-rash and a few dings on the back, as well as a few chips in the binding on both sides. Neck: 3-piece maple set neck, 43mm at nutĬase: unbranded wood hard case, good fit and good condition, presumably originalĬosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. this is a future family heirloom looking for a home!įinish: Brown sunburst, black 4-ply guard, aged cream binding Plugged in, you get a thick, creamy, bright, articulate tone that'll happily cover just about any genre. The shape is about 20mm smaller across the body than a Gibson 335, so if you like your semi-hollow just a wee-bit easier to get around, this is perfect. This one is just back from a date with our local master luthier getting a replacement bridge and a fret-level and polish, it's playing beautifully. There's some normal cosmetic wear (see below) but it's in good shape. The flamed white-sycamore is stunning, there's nothing quite like a good burst finishes as it ages it really shows off the grain. What a remarkable beauty this is! This was made at the legendary Fujigen Gakki factory right as they were becoming world famous, and as you'd expect, it's immaculately built across every detail.
